Folder My Tracks not actually a folder?

When I import a .GPX file it says Folder -> My Tracks. But in Explorer I can not find a folder called My Tracks. Is there actually a folder that is called My Tracks?

When I look with Explorer in the Import folder it is empty.

When I then make a new folder to import in. I can not find that new folder.

Why is it called Folder when, as it seems, it is actually no folder?

So where did my imported .GPX file go?

Can I make, with Explorer or something, a folder that is called for example MyTracks and place my .gpx files in it? And can my imported files go in that folder too?

That is seems logical to me and easy to use.

Thanks.

Good day,

I'm sorry, but here comes small missunderstanding.

"Folder" in Locus terminology isn't physical folder on your card, but some "virtual folder" in Locus internal structure that helps to organize points/tracks.

Best is, if you tap in Locus on Menu > Data. Here are two main tabs - Points and Tracks. And both these tabs contains "Folders". In Tracks tab should be already "My Tracks" folder and there will be your imported tracks.

Hope it's more clear now. Feel free to ask if there will be any problem.

Ahhh, ok :)

I can imagine this is confusing for alot of people especially the DOS generation and IT people ;).

Maybe it is a good idea to change "Folder" into "Database"? As it actually is .

Thanks for the fast reply :)

You're welcome.

Before an year, it was "Categories", but it was also confusing for various reasons. We also had there an icon that looks like database. It was also confusing for non-IT people.

It's quite complicated to find something ... "middle". And during last months it seems that current "Folders" solution should work for most people. But sometimes ... :).

Anyway hope now will everything be more clear for you ;). Enjoy Locus
