Full-screen immersive mode for Locus Pro

Hello Menion,

I’ve noticed following new feature of Android 4.4. KitKat and it would be very fantastic, if it comes available for Locus (Pro) next time!

Extract from http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/10/... :

Full-screen immersive mode is a new feature in KitKat that allows any app to go truly full-screen, hiding both the navigation and status bars. Google also gave the process of getting them back some thought, and has come up with a new gesture for that purpose. In any app in full-screen mode, simply swipe down from the top of the screen or up from the bottom and the status / nav bars will reappear. Tap in the content area (or wait a few seconds), and they`ll vanish again.

Kind Regards,

Klaus

Idea will be implemented in next version. There seems to be still small problem, that bottom navigation bar appear in case, Locus display any dialog or popup window, but it seems to be feature of Android and I'm currently not able to find a way how to disable this.

Hi Menion,

I've started using this feature and it's great!

However, like you say, when in the menus the bottom home/back icons bar often appears unwanted and covers up whatever is at the bottom of the screen (which is usually the "set" and "cancel" buttons).

IDEA: exit full screen mode automatically each time the menu is opened and then have it automatically started again once the map is displayed. Full screen is not really necessary when navigating menus anyway.

Would this be possible?

Thanks for the consideration and best regards.

Hello Jimmy,

in the latest version, bottom navigation system panel should be always visible except on main map screen (because of mentioned problems).
