Garmin symbol Icon list update needed

A small update of the existing list (not urgent). By adding some missing symbols_Icons.

Locus supports many Icons of the Garmin symbol list.

It seems only a few symbols_Icons are not supported.

Can these be added in a future edition ? (not urgent)

Sure, but how to add in the Garmin list in Locus ?

Default Garmin list available for Locus users.

A Locus Garmin waypoint list: 100% complete.

Of course, I totally agree with this that an application update is needed. Certainly it is not complicated and sometimes Menion will find time. When I resolve the priority issues and requirements.

I see an only problem : dogs icons. Currently, in app, all these icons are named as "Dog, pointing" instead of "Dog Pointing" from your pack. May someone with Garmin device, confirm which of these two names is correct and is used in Garmin devices? Thanks.

Ooh I forgot about the dogs ;-)

I imported into Garmin Basecamp and all from the pack I did send are displayed correctly.

In actual Locus version (5) Dog Icons and (2) Geocache Icons are not displayed.

Oki, thanks. Anyway users who already use these icons in Locus Map, will be lost in case, I change icon name. So I'll leave it as is. Thanks for understanding.

Sorry, don't understand...as no such Icons are displayed actually ? So Lost ? Really ?

Displayed is the "No Icon default" one with correct input Garmin names.

The correct Garmin Icons are : Without the , in the name > Add into the corrected Garmin Icons list

Keep the old ones with the , int the name ? > Add into expandable Locus Icons list ?

I wanted to say, that if you currently in Locus Map use this "dog" icon for any point, then it works correctly in Locus Map right? So users, who already use it, will lose this icon in case, I change its name.

Anyway ok, better to have it corrected. "Dogs" fixed, thanks.

Hi Menion. Why the previous reply, for only such a small issue ?

In other gps forums I sometimes (much) advertise Locus map. Believe me, the threshold to use Locus is still a difficult hurdle for some. I do not like being 'countered' for easily preventable small imperfections. So if Locus offers the Garmin Icons it is desirable that they are 100% corresponding. :-))

uhm, when I export (from BaseCamp) a Garmin Parking Area (<sym>Parking Area</sym>) Locus shows not the Garmin Icon (the big red P), but a tiny tiny car with a tiny arrow below it (almost looks like dirt on my display ;-)

ah I see it. Icon for "Geocaching > Parking" has exactly same name "Parking area". And this is a big problem. Unfortunately when Locus tries to import points from GPX, here is no simple clue if points is just basic point or a waypoint related to some cache.

Very good point, but I currently have no simple solution. Thanks for understanding.

Btw. I think that except this smaller issue, all icons should be correct, so idea "implemented". Thanks Willy (0709) and Condor for help here.

oh, I see. Then I'll make a Custom Icon with the (P) and convert <sym>Parking Area</sym> to <sym>file:garmin_custom.zip:Custom 20.png</sym> or so, when ex/importing wpts.
