Geocaching icons inherit icon from directory.

Not a Problem

Hello,

Recently the problem was appeared with imported points from gpx geocaching.com. Points inherit icon from directory where they are placed. You can see example in attached screen capture. Instead of normal geoaching icons there are little houses for any kind of geocache (typical, quiz, etc.). Geocaches which are OK come from opencaching.pl.

Good day Dariusz,

really interesting. May you please share with me your GPX file? I need it for proper testing because with my own PQ import, all works correctly. Thank you.

No problem. In attachment you can find example gpx with 3 geocaches. For your information this gpx is not generated by PQ import, but I think it is in line with gpx standard, because some time ago there was no problem with it. But if not please let me know where there is a problem.

Hi,

I have just downnloaded the first geocache of your gpx file GC761QX direct from geocaching.com.

There are some significant differences for example in the <type>-tag or <groundspeak:type>-tag identifying the type of the geocache.

For me it looks like your gpx file was maybe originally downloaded from geocaching.com but then gets manipulated by someone else from whom you get the file. Or maybe you do the changes by yourself, just a guess.

Thank you for a quick reply. Indeed the file is manipulated... by me :). So the problem is on my site. Nevertheless thank for your time :)
