It`s quite simple
c:geo completely ignore terms of use of Groundspeak, so they do it in it`s own way. It download complete web page (around 100kb single cache!) and parse it in application
add-on use Geocaching Live (as well as Locus itself) and this has some limits
here are official limits for basic members:

Basic Member Restrictions
Geocaching.com Basic Members are provided access to 3 full Traditional geocache descriptions per day through the API, with restricted cache filtering options. After reaching this limit Basic Members may continue to retrieve "light" geocache data, including coordinates, geocache name, and difficulty/terrain information. Under most circumstances this is enough access to continue using the application to find Traditional geocaches. All other functionality such as logging geocaches and Trackables are unrestricted for Basic Members.
The other less official API limits are,
2,000 caches per hour
10,000 summary caches per day
6,000 detailed caches per day
30 API calls per minute (status checks, fetch logs, publish logs, fav points, etc)
Max of 30 logs per cache

... and, that`s all. In c:geo you have slow access and you cannot be sure that second day it will work. But no limits. In Geocaching4Locus it`s opposite.
I also do not agree with too strict limits from Groundspeak, but there is nothing we can do :(

On more question or issue. When I want to use the Geocaching live function, the app switches to my browser where I am asked to enter my login/password, but it always fail and I get the following message "Either your session has expired or your authorization credentials have failed. Please try again if you believe this is an error." Of course, on geocaching.com website, my login/password works. Is it because I am a basic member ?

Right, it was a browser issue. I`m on a Galaxy Note II and it doesn`t work with the contextual browser and Google Chrome but it works with the integrated browser.
