Germany vector map "03-Apr-2016 04:05 490M" incomplete

Not a Problem

I just downloaded the complete Germany map from mapsforge 03-Apr-2016 04:05 but unfortunately most areas are astoundingly incomplete: streets are ending nowhere. To illustrate I'll attach a screenshot. This is true for not only for a small area but all over Germany. I don't know the reason for that, but may be it has to do with the only 490 MB (no zip). The older complete Germany map was 1.109 MB zip, i.e. much much bigger. Even the regional maps, i.e. county maps like "nordrhein-westfalen.map" look the same.

What happenend, what can I do?

Hello Chris,

I guess that you've downloaded Germany (complete) maps from Locus store. If yes then 490 MB is really weird size. Please delete germany.osm.map and germany.osm.db files and try to download file again. However I guess that it'll be little bit complicated.

Actually, I downloaded the map from this site:

http://download.mapsforge.org/maps/europe/germany.map

It reads "490MB", so this seems to be the proposed size. Strange....

Any guesses, hints?

Ohh that's important news. I'm sorry but I can not give you any clue in this situation. Map is not distributed by Locus team ... this is question on mapsforge team. Please try to contact them. You can also try mentioned LoMaps from Locus store ;-)
