Geocaching GGZ file

I am thinking of buying a new gps for geocaching. The n ew gps can take a file called a ggz which means the gps can hold millions of caches where the gpx file will hold only thousands. Is it possible to have in the export section a way to covert it to ggz. I use locus to load my gps all the time. Best app out there

Hello Jim,

ggz format was created by Garmin mainly for a Garmin devices. Garmin keep all data in GPX so it's really slow when there is need for some work. On second side, Locus load data to internal format which is fast enough.

So generally there is no reason to load GGZ data, except case, other often used programs will export only to this format. Which currently do not happen, right?

Unfortunaly, for now, I see no reason why to support this format, but maybe number of votes may convince me ;)

I like this idea as it's really good for geocaching and apparently it is supposed to be faster to load than gpx + zip file.

I like it to. If Locus Pro can handle GZZ, I can connect my GPS on my smartphone, and upload the file from smartphone to GPS, without using the computer.

This is useful if you on the road or having a holiday.

I have looked in the mean while on the internet. Sadly I can't find other solutions
