It would be nice to Have the Google Maps quick share as a one touch action from the functions panel.

Good day Ricky,

thank you for interesting idea. Unfortunately this tiny feature is really for occasional use-cases and it really do not have it's place in big functions that are in functions panel. I believe that few clicks more from time to time is not a big problem. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks Menion. Doesn't hurt to ask. Great App. We use it daily for the last 4 years.

I guess you know that you already can place the share function to the functions panel. So it's not to much of clicks.

Wolfgang,

I do. But we use that function hundreds of times a day.

Hundreds times a day? May I ask how and why you use this function so often?

Ok and what about one more step less .. place into functions panel "Quick www bookmark" function and setup Url to Google Maps . There is one already prepared in "Add button > star button". But this just move map on certain place. If you will also need to pin a point on map, use something like this: http://stackoverflow.com/a/13545707/836138

Menion,

After going back and looking at v 3.22.1 I was mistaken as

to how Google Maps “Quick Share” works. I apologize!

I do field data

collection. I use Samsung tablets for their multi-window functionality. Locus

map and my data collection app are running side by side on the screen. As the consumer

grade gps radios are not always accurate enough I will use “Share Map Cursor

Location” to capture the coordinates and paste them into the data collection

app as my location. I also use an app called AndMade Share that allows me to

limit the sharing options to clipboard only saving me a step. In v 3.22.1 I

have “Share” in my “Functions Panel” and use the “Text Message” function to

copy to the clipboard. I am after the

coordinates. I do not need to open Google Maps.

No worries. Keep up the great

work!!!!!!

Hello,

understand.

Maybe just give a try to "Quick www bookmark". I wrote about google maps, but you may define there whatever you wants. If you capturing app is flexible, it should be possible to share map center from Locus with just two taps ( one to open this function, second to choose this predefined "share" option ).

Anyway maybe it won't work, I gave no promise, so rather don't waste too much time on this :).
