[CZ/EN] Problem s ANT radio service 4.00.00

Konečně jsem se k tomu dostal ...

Bohužel se mi nedaří problém opravit. Nikde alespoň nevidím co opravovat, protože chybu to háže někde v jejich knihovně, kterou ale ve verzi 4.0 komplet překopali ... paráda.

Něco už mám rozpracované, nicméně zase mi stávkuje Xperia X8 na které mi nefunguje ani jejich demo (originál ROMka).

Takže bohužel další verze Locusu bude stále trpět tímto neduhem ale během června to určitě opravím, i kdybych měl uhánět přímo vývojáře ANTu ...

I do not understand any word, but with ANT+ Service 4.00 my Xperia Neo (ICS) cuts the ANT connection after about 1 min.

Til then it works with HRM and bike (Speed, cadance) sensor.

Also the automatic activation at start of an recording works, but only for 1 minute.

it`s quite complicated situation

- update to ANT Radio service 4.0 for unknown reason stop working with Locus. Errors that I get am I not able to fix.

- When I updated library to I use in Locus, it stopped work completely

- They now also offer completely new version of ANT library, but this do not have support for bike speed/cadence sensor yet and also even a demo application do not work on my older Xperia X8

So for me it`s currently situation without fast solution. I have to write ANT developers when will be available ANT library with support for bike sensors and then I release fully working Locus version.

Sorry for this, but I wasn`t able to find working solution ... damn

nainstaloval jsem verzi Locusu 2.14.1 a ANT+ už nespolupracuje vůbec. Koukal jsem na forum a viděl jsem tam u popisu novinek u verze 2.14.0.1, že se snažíš vrátit k původnímu řešení.

Když jsem v Locusu spustil ant manažer a tam stisknul start, spustilo se mi vyhledávání monitoru srdečního tepu (na pozadí se mi spustil ANT+ radio service). Ovšem nepodařilo se tepák ani najít, takže spojení nebylo navázáno. Tak jsem přeinstaloval ant radio service z verze 4.0 na verzi 2.4 (instalačku mám od výrobce v telefonu) - toto řešení mi v minulosti (ještě před používáním ant+ pluginů) pomohlo. Nicméně teď se locus chová s ant radio service 2.4 stejně jako s 4.0 - nefunguje to. Pokud Ti toto pomůže v hledání řešení, budu rád. Pokud bz bzla nějaká testovací verze s předpokladem dobré funkčnosti ant+ měření srdečního tepu, tak dej vědět. Rád to prubnu. Díky. Martin

ANT Radio Service Version 4.1 is released in Play Store.

No change of situation with Bike sensors. Still break of signal after around 1min.

But I assume, that you have to change something to Locus to get it work again.

Ahoj Menione, včera jsem nainstaloval, dneska projel trasu na kole s tepákem a vypadá to moc dobře. Tepák se spolehlivě připojil a spojení bylo stabilní. Dobrá práce a moc děkuji.

perfekt. taky jsem to testoval už párkrát v terénu a myslím že to vypadá konečně použitelně. Takže prozatím test verze, plná verze na Google Play bude někdy příští týden

I tried Locus 2.14.1.5 with ANT+ Service 4.1 and a Garmin GSC10 and it does not work.

Locus says with S&C activated "Acces to sensor failed, Check prerequisites and try again".

HRM works.

With version 2.14.1 I get a connection to the S&C Sensor, but only for around 1min before the connection breaks.

forget on 2.14.1, there were old system. In testing version is completely new system. But it`s weird it do not work for you, because I`m testing it probably on exactly same sensor as you "Garmin wireless bike speed & cadence".

Please check if you have ANT+ Service 4.1 and also ANT+ Plugins installed. Maybe you may try re-install these ANT+ libs

The expected update of the ANT+ Plugin is available in Play Store.

I testet it with locus and my GSC10 and it seems to be working (5 min Tests, no problem).

The strange thing is, that I have to go back to ANT+ radio service version 2.4 because RunGPS has problems with ANT+ radio service higher than 4.0.

But locus works.

I did not expect, that version 2.4 works with the ANT+ plugins. "officially", since 4.0 the ANT+ plugin is supported, any explanation?

all apps that use ANT+ service 2.X do NOT need ANT+ Plugins. ANT exists now in three systems that may be used by apps

1. app use ANT+ service 2.4 -> 90% of all apps

2. app use ANT+ service 4.0+ -> developers just need to update this library in their apps. ANT+ developers wrote, that simple update should work. In Locus it won`t

3. app use ANT+ service 4.0+ and ALSO ANT+ Plugins -> completely new system, probably used only by Locus. So most apps now should need only ANT+ serice. Locus anyway need a Service and also A Plugins library.

I`m not sure if my explanation is clear. Hope it is. Unfortunately I can`t do nothing with incompatibility new ANT+ service with RunGPS, sorry

Mhhhh, right now, ANT+ service 2.4 + newest ANT+ Plugins works with Locus and RunGPS, so I`m satisfied.

But where is the setup in Locus for wheel diameter/circumference for correct speed calculation?

No, no, noooooo.

In version 2.14.1:

S&C sensor works fine with ANT+ radio service 2.4 an newest ANT+ Plugin

In version 2.14.1.11:

Nothing works with ANT+ because Locus wants to have ANT+ radio service 4.X to work.

The problem is, that other programs need radio service 2.4 and Locus can work with it also. So is it really needed to block the functionallity with radio service 2.4?

I don`t know why, but it works with 2.4 also, so leave it.

I found version 4.0 of radio service in the internet.

This seems to be a good "compromise". RunGPS still works and Locus works with version 2.14.1.11 with ANT+ Plugins.

Obviously since 4.1 or 4.2 RunGPS gets problems and 4.1 and 4.2 are not needed for Locus right now.

I have no idea why this happen. I just use latest ANT library. When I try to connect to any device, ANT library itself say to me which apps are missing. If any, I just notify user that some libraries (and which) are missing ...
