GPS on Kindle Fire HD 8
Answered
I have a problem getting a GPS Signal on my Kindle Fire HD 8.
The sign of the satellite in Locus Map is orange with a black dot.
The location settings of the Kindle are ON for Locus Map.
But the satellite icon doesn't get green and there are no satellites found.
Can someone help? Would be great
Hi,
go to Locus settings >GPS & Sensors > GPS auto-off and disable it.

Hi,
what about other GPS-related apps? Try GPS Status&Toolbox and check if your system GPS unit really receives GPS signal.

solved - the kindle fire hd 8 doesn't have a GPS transmitter - with an external bluetooth GPS receiver it works
