gps signal stop during navigation

Hi,

to ensure long battery performance during the use Locus I always switch to Airplane Mode and I enable Power Saving Mode at the Medium level.

With the Power Saving Mode at Medium Level the GPS stops (and the voice navigation too) and is active back only when I weak up the screen. This do not happen with Power Saving Off.

Is there is a way in Locus to control the GPS functionality during the Power Saving Mode at Medium Level?

I use Galaxy S7 Active with android 7.0.

Thank you

Giuseppe

Hi,

power saving modes are generally problem for all background-running processes. Here are a few tips how to prevent apps from being killed on Samsung phones (and prevent battery from draining): https://dontkillmyapp.com/samsung.

Test it, we're not sure if this procedure prevent also GPS from being killed - it varies from device to device.

Generally, we recommend to switch off ALL means of battery optimization in order to maintain Locus Map flawless running.
