GPS Status (Radar) option disappeared

Solved

Recently I have discovered that I am not able to access GPS Status ... or Radar option...when I am after an alternative for compass. Is this option gone for good or is it just a bug? I use GPS status intensively and the internal Compass tool is just a painful replacement for me.

Good day Patrik,

internal compass was highly improved in latest versions and because from our discoveries, GPS Status was not used so often, we had removed it from bottom toolbar menu in point screen. It may still be accessed by bottom "Share" > "Other map apps".

I'm not completely against the option to return this shortcut back if there will be interest of more users. I just think that with improved compass in Locus Map, it won't be necessary. And in case, GPS Status is still a lot better, I would like to hear any ideas, what may be improved in Locus internal compass. Thanks for feedback.

Thanks for pointing me the right direction of how to access it. I can live with one additional "click" :)

Regarding the reason I prefer GPS status...Its just one trivial but important (at least for my brain) fact. If I am navigating with Locus compass I need to watch two things at the same time: bearing and distance (especially when i am <100 m from cache)....both displayed on separate "sectors" of compass... while using Gps status...the green dot pretty much covers it all...showing the direction and also distance itself. Yes, i am aware its just a habbit, but for me this interface is much more user friendly and i do not need to litterary "dance" with my eyes over the screen :)

Good day Patrik,

thank You for additional information. I think I understand, visual representation of bearing & distance is more easy to check & use then text representation. Because I prefer to use map in high zoom instead of compass, I never had a need to use GPS Status, anyway good point.

I'm glad that current solution is still usable for You.

This describes exactly what I've discovered recently. I already figured out the "workaround" of making GPS status the standard app in share menu, but it's still a little irritating as it is one click more. ;) I never used the Locus radar in the past, but I might give it a try now... still, GPS status remains my preferred solutin atm, as I'm used to the GUI. Would be great if you could bring it back!

Good day guys,

I was thinking about it and because this "radar" option appear in menu only for users, that has installed any "radar" application in device, I've decided to put it back directly into bottom menu. So since next version, "Radar" option will be available in bottom "navigation" menu in bottom point screen toolbar.
