GPS, three questions
Answered
Three arrows with numbers on the image:
1. Since Locus 3.5.3 there is this little "clock" on the GPS symbol. What does it mean?
2. The popup says "ingeschakeld" which means "on", allthough my GPS is off.
3. As I said, GPS is off. PLEASE: this blue popup lasts about 5 seconds!! Make it two seconds and then I can go on with what I am doing :)
I remember that you are not the first one who has problems with this blue popup notification.
So in next version will be new parameter in configuration file called "gps_notify_if_disabled_during_start", which will be enabled by default. But set to "0" disable this notification.

Dag Henk, I observed next behaviour.
1. Indicator: Settings ->GPS and Locations->Internal GPS auto-off -> GPS auto off : Select or Not
2. "Ingeschakeld": Shows if Locus map is attached, or gets location information, from "a" location (gps or other) service or not. As such not showing if the hardware gps is in on or off state.
3. Time out: Actual setting is ok for me, read warning and push the short-cut, into the general Android menu to change setting(s). As most of the time Locus is used inclusive (gps) location service ? Unless for a static demo by 2. unattaching location service(s), and by shifting the map over the central cross indicator simulating a moving position.
(1,2): Android gps on/off setting: General circuit breaker for the hardware gps module. "Off" really means not available module. A secondary circuit gps breaker is by (1), Locus switches gps hardware on or off according to the auto off settings. Control monitor by app "PowerTutor" and history chart system view. See field gps hardware on/off, consuming power. Helps to find out the meaning of the different settings.

Thank you 0709!
1. Correct. I never use Auto off but had it for the moment activated, because I was responding and testing for/in another topic. Had never seen it before. SOLVED.
2. Not correct (for me). With all sources off (no wifi, no gps, no cell, flightmode) I still get the popup "ingeschakeld" (enabled with the gps symbol next to it) while the blue popup warns me to activate Location services. So this is a (small) mistake in the APP. NOT SOLVED.
3. I use the android widget for switching on/off GPS (and other stuff). So Menions blue popup with the shortcut to settings is less convenient. And I can read fast, so 5 seconds is defintely over the top. And yes, sometimes I use Locus on the couch without GPS. Then, the 5 seconds popup is even slightly irritating in a GREAT APP.
Maybe I should put nr 3 up as an idea?

How often you open/close Locus during a day?
When I anm reading this or the other Forum, maybe four times in an hour :)
When I am hiking and mainly using for guiding, one start in the morning.
Ok, we will leave at this. Your last sentence about people emailing you, convinced me. Topic solved.
