Waypoint GPX export do not include URL

Barbudor shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

Hi

I`ve noticed that as of today (v2.14.1), waypoint`s URL (tags < url> and < urlname>) are not exported to GPX while they are correctly imported.

So while we can associate an URL from within Locus to a waypoint, it is impossible to export/save it.

Am I doing something wrong ?

Thanks

sure

just count, that in next version will be ability to export GPX as GPX v1.0 or v1.1

if you`ll have more then one URL at your points, use v1.1 which export them all (compare to v1.0 which export just first)

Great.

Can you please confirm that with Geocache waypoints, export also export all fields ?

Importing a PQ, making changes inside Locus (like updating the cache or offlinizing), exporting, re-importing ? Is that fully transparent ?

Are field-notes and notes also exported/imported transparently ?

Thanks.

hard to say, probably not. Mainly because GPX do not contain all tags that`s needed. Seems that Groundspeak do not support GPX files too much and there is huge difference between what you get over their Geocaching API and what you get over GPX files.

For example notes aren`t exported, as official GPX specification from groundspeak do not contain field for it. Anyway I suggest to check it on one cache, what is and what isn`t exported. Most information will be anyway correctly exported

EDIT; I will create a new report as I can`t find a way to re-open the case.

Sorry to re-open.

While export is fine, both in GPX v1.0 and v1.1, re-import is now partial: only the URL is taken back, not the link-name.

Note that in previous version, import was working.

Best regards
