Not a Problem

Hello. Please help me, on the tablet Locus when trying to open the card

writes error code 8 : attempt to write a readonly database,

if it is a memory card, by transferring files to the tablet all open.

In the setting of the path to the cards correctly, it begins to open

and an error already checked everything , tried different cards ,

the tablet is simply no place to copy . What is the problem , how to be?

Hi Natalya,

to tell the truth I don't understand much of your problem but I presume your trouble concerns using Locus with SD card, right? Try to follow some of instructions here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:use_sdcard_on_kitkat

I'll try to reformulate. The instructions that you have given read, did not help. My version of Android 4.0.4. Locus pro installed to the internal memory of the tablet. Maps are on the memory card. The path of the cards is correct. When you try to open maps Locus gives an error "error code 8 : attempt to write a readonly database". If you copy the maps to the internal memory of the tablet Locus opens them.

Hi Natalya, looking at your screenshot I think you have Locus root directory located on the external SD. Because of Android4.0.4. limitations the Locus app can't write on the card so it's strongly recommended to reinstall Locus correctly in your internal memory and then in the Map manager select "add external maps" and define path to your map files.

EDIT: I noticed that you probably use some ancient version of Locus. Please upgrade to the latest version available on Google Play.

Unfortunately not. We tried everything.

As a result, we do have guessed at random.

It turns out that if you move a file on the tablet, and then

back to the memory card, it starts to open. And it is moved, not copied.

We had all the maps to move back and forth, but eventually even open.
