Hike and Bike map with hill shadows
Answered
Hi, I'm using Locusmap Pro and the OSM Hike and Bike map. I would like to have the hill shadows like on the hike and bike map website (http://www.hikebikemap.org). But I can't get any shadows, neither for hills nor based on ascent.
Hello Stephan

Hi Wolfgang,
I have enabled shading in settings, but I don't know how to store "strm" data on my device. Have I to load this manually?

Have you read the manual?
click on the blue world image down on this manual page, navigate to area on this map you want to display strm data
downnload and unzip file >store these .hgt files to Locus/data/srtm

I read the manual you linked, but I think it should be already on my device after I downloaded the LoMap (not HikeAndBike, but there is also no shadings).
Anyway, I downloaded the hgt files manually and after a media rescan on my device, my maps have shadings.
Thanks for your help!
Is there a way to "close" this topic/mark it as solved?

menion or one of his team will mark this thread as answered ;-))
additional questions:
- where are your maps/vector maps stored? on internal or ext SD?
- where are your strm files stored?
- whats your setting/Misc/Default Directories/data-strm >"default" or an "ext path"? and if ext is this path valid anymore?

my maps are stored on external sd-card. My srtm-files are also stored on extern. For the first try, they were stored on internal memory. The path settings in locus are now also set to manual path (external storage).

Hi Stephan,
SRTM data are offered for downloading right after downloading a LoMap product. For now, they can't be downloaded additionally - that's why we inform about the alternative methods.
Wolfgang,
thank you for cooperation.
