Historical maps
Answered
I would like to overlay historical maps with Locus
i.e. from https://www.davidrumsey.com or http://wiki-de.genealogy.net/Historische_Landkarten_in_GoogleEarth...
I know overlaying maps is possible, but can I connect to these maps like Google earth can do?
That would be a way to travel in time (doing a bycicle tour with a map from 1700ad and a overlayed route from the locus routeplanner)

Hi Roland,
Locus Map supports displaying these map formats: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_external#supported_map_formats. If the sources you mention provide maps in these formats then it should be no problem to overlay them with current background map. More about map overlays in Locus: https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_tools:overlays
