Honsyu(Japan) map is broken

Known

I downloaded the Japan's vector map (Honshu) by Locus store, whether the map data is broken in many places, there is no display correctly (ex. N 35°54.636', E 138°26.841').

Contour lines will be displayed, but the map is displayed broken.

Please check.

Hello Yuji,

I'm sorry for troubles. I've checked the maps and maps is really broken. It's our long term issue we were not able to solve it. However we're in the middle of generation process of new vector maps (now called LoMaps). This new version should limit mentioned issue. Please wait for new version of LoMaps - probably in the middle of October.

Thank you for understanding

Best regards

Hello Yuji,

We've found out that issue is more complicated then we thought. There is also some issue in way how Locus renders the map. This is the main reason for white parts. Unfortunately the solution for this problem takes more time and I cannot give you exact date issue will be fixed.

Hi Yuji,

Meanwhile, you may try Japan vector map from OpenAndroMaps.

Hi ta-ka,

Thank you for your introduce OpenAndroMaps.

Map of OpenAndroMaps is a very good have also entered contour lines from SRTM.

But, the update frequency is slow. So I was created by its own Japanese map from Openstreetmap and SRTM.

Anyway, Thanks again.

Yuji
