how to add point by entered address

I tried to create a point that was the address that I would be visiting in the future. I chose "add point", entered the address, and it retrieved the address of the location I was at. Is there a way to create a point by only entering an address? I don't want to have to go to the map at all.

Hello David.

There is many method how to create point in Locus app. If you prefer add point without map, please open Data screen in Locus app http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:screens:poi_screen and click on "+" button on the top panel. There in the dialog you can add an address and save the point.

In case of other questions, please contact us.

Kind regards

This did not work for me.

I enter an address in another

city from where I am and then press "Get Address". Locus replaces the address information I

have just entered with the address at the coordinates shown on the screen.

In a case I just tried, the coordinates were those remembered from

yesterday. I am in one city, I entered an address in a second city, and

Locus replaced my entered information with the address from the third

city I was in yesterday (which location was on the screen in the gps

coordinates).

I want the gps coordinates on the

screen to be replaced by the coordinates at the address location I have manually

entered. Currently, it looks like Locus is working in just the other

direction and always putting the address from the coordinates it sees on the map into the address fields.

Hello David.

Please try to create point with helps "Search" function. Menu - More - Search - Address&Place - insert your address - search. There is a temporary point on a map with your address. Click on this temporary point and save it. How to save a point you find here http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:getting_started:pois
