How to import a geotagged picture to create a POI

Hi,

I have couple of geotagged fotos, and I want to make a POI for each foto in Locus.

  • The new POI should own the GPS position data from the picture.
  • The creation date of the new POI should be the creation date of the foto.
  • The photo should be copied to data/media/photo (for a simple backup)

Is there a way to achive this without 3 party programms or save the postion data and manually add this (copy/paste) in the POI after creation?

Any Ideas?

Hi

open Menu/search/(scroll down) localized photo/select directory, or search in all/select one or more > Import

Date is creation date of the POI and i found no possibility to correct it, other Infos can be added "Edit"

Thanks balloni55 for your promptness! That's right, Locus Map doesn't import creation date from the photo EXIF data, just its GPS coordinates.

Hi, displaying geotagged photos in Locus has changed, see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:mainscr_lpanel#map_layers
