Add quick switch between Mapshading types =HillShading vs Slopes into Quict settings

During snowshoeing, I use Mapshading.Type=-Slopes (different colors for slope level) to figure out which areas are more prone to avalanches.

After that I switch to Mapshading.Type=HillShading to get a more 3D like effect of the terrain.

I switch multiple times during a trip to check.

Is there a way to quickly switch between them without having to press so many buttons and menus? Its hard to press so many buttons with gloves. if it was a option under Quick switch it would work.

Btw: I tried to use presets and switch presents, but it does not seem to switch mapshading setting.

Hi,

try this:

- go to Locus settings > controlling > panels&buttons > set content panel

- check "Map layers"

- a new tag appears on the left screen edge - by pulling it out you see list of layers, one of them is "Map shading" - by tapping it you can quickly change shading mode

Does this work for you?

I have used that option as well - compared to quickswitch, it still takes a few clicks which is difficult to do frequently, and get that much accuracy with slightly thicker gloves.

Since its a frequent task that needs to be done with thicker gloves, I am hoping there is something as simple as a quick switch.

There is also a additional opportunity to make quick switch even easier to use with gloves -, maybe, we could set volume up or volume down button to bring up a quick switch menu, and allow us to navigate through the quick switch menu and set.unset each using volume and power buttons.

Thanks!

I'm changing this to an idea so that others can vote for its implementation.

should we,divide it into 2 ideas? 2nd to make quick switch navigation easier using hardware buttons? e.g. volume?

I can file another 2nd if u agree.
