How to record a track with elevation data?

The track which I recorded only contain the data of latitude and longitude. However, I also want to get the height data along the track. How can I get this?

Hi Leo, open the detail screen of the track, tap menu in the bottom right corner and select "fill altitude". Locus Map will download SRTM data of the area around the track.

Well moment guys. Track recorded in Locus have to contains altitude data as they are base part of received location. Method that describe Michal is useful for some imported or manually created tracks, where is possibility that altitude is not included.
From what you think that recorded track do not have altitude?
