Sometimes the GPS turns off for no visible reason. How can I turn the GPS on again in the menu?

How can I prevent the GPS from turning off?

Hello Ivo,

so if I understand correctly: Locus runs and has proper GPS signal - this is signalized by green color of satellite button in top panel. After while GPS is lost and mentioned icon has white color?

Is it your situation? Ot could you describe it more detailed, please? Is GPS turned off in system or is only turned off getting location in Locus?

Ivo, I'm sure there has to be "any reason". Please try to find anything that may helps, why this happen. Because I have no such experience, without more information, I'm unable to fix it.

So far I couldn't find a reason. All is OK and I look again to Locus after some time and GPS is sometimes off. I set Locus quite often in sleeping mode when I put my mobile away with Locus turned on and than the screensaver starts after some time. But this seemes not to be the reason.

Hello Ivo,

still same problems?

I was thinking about it and - when you open Locus after a while and GPS is off, then when you go back to map, is there again basic initialization screen you usually see just at start?

If so, that means that Locus were killed by system and needs to start again. This should also cause, that Locus do not correctly remember previous state, because there were no chance to save it.

For this, please enable "locus as a service" in settings - this should help.

I am not using Locus so much in the moment. I am not sure what basic initialization screen is?

I have "locus as a service" already enabled.

By "basic intialization" I though loading screen that appear over map when you start locus. Screen where is something like "loading previous state, initialize maps" and so on.

Anyway when you already use "Locus as a service", then I'm worry I'm unable to help you for now.
