That's basically it. That's how I did it before but didn't see my data after last attempt after reinstall. I just installed then pasted my old folder over. Worked before. Should it?

Hi,

I'm not sure what exactly you want to achieve. Do you want to move Locus on the new device? Or do you want to restore data from some "folder backup". Finally would you please describe your steps more detailed?

Thank you

This:

restore data from some "folder backup"

I just copied the folder on the phone. Thanks

Also, suppose I had two people with saved recorded tracks. Could you grab those files and sync them between say three devices? So two people go out, record a path they walk, save it in their tracks. Then sync that folder. The folder sync app I use can do that I'm sure.

So I've got my old installation folder, plus I will have tracks recorded separately and I want them all to merge into one folder of tracks. Is this at app possible?

I see. I would suggest to check doc: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:move_to_new_device_sd_card The doc described how to move Locus on the new folder but it also depict what folders are important for backup.

When it comes to cloud synchronization - there is an idea you can vote for http://help.locusmap.eu/agent/object/1244 However the implementation is quite tricky and I can't say when should be implemented. The topic contains also some workarounds how other users "solve" it. I'd like to also inform you that's possible to backup/restore data to the google drive or dropbox. So it can be used as very poor "synchronization"

If you want to merge track - please export the track you want to merge as GPX files and then import them into you new folder. (again you can export/import data to GD or Dropbox)
