I was in the middle of downloading a map with more than 300000 tiles. The download is limited to 5000 tiles per day, you can imagine how many days I already spent with that. After upgrading to 3.0 I had no chance to continue the download, it wanted to start it from the beginning. I think that's a problem.

Hellow Peter,

Firstly

1. limits in Locus are to protect map providers and also to force people think, if they really need huge maps.

2. keep in mind that android 2.x has limit 2 GB on map size, android 4.0+ then has limit 4 GB. Be careful, not to oversize it.

About your problem. Sorry, it's possible, because there were small changes in a way, how Locus store definition of areas.

Your already downloaded tiles are anyway store in working map in Locus/maps directory.

So you should be able to start downloading again, define are and set type of download to "External map" and choose already partially downloaded map file. This should work.
