Images in Geocaches do not open
Solved
In a Geocache, go to Image tab and tab an image in order to open.
In 3.38.4 a message shows up that says: "No application available"
This worked in previous versions (not sure when this started).
On the other hand, for images in Geocache logs this still works as expected.
Good day Thomas,
does this happen with all caches (please try more than one)? Please send me a cache code so I may try it as well.
Also, you download extra images over internal "GC offlinizer" feature?

Hi Menion,
a good example is https://coord.info/GC31XX5 (loaded by G4L).
Open cache, go to listing tab and tap on an image --> "No application available".
Use GC Offlinizer and check API --> 4 errors are shown, image tab empty
Leave the cache and enter again, go to image tab (now it's there) and tap on an image --> "No application available".
Those 4 images have in common that they are not hosted on the Groundspeak image servers, they're from upload.wikimedia.org.
A 2nd example is https://coord.info/GC3FJ3Y.
Again, downloaded by G4L.
Open cache, go to listing tab and tap on an image in the listing --> image opens (image stored on Groundspeak server).
Leave cache and enter again, tap on an image --> "No application available".
"Settings - Geocaching - Load images automatically" is is set to "Download images".

Thomas

Thanks Thomas for additional information.
When you first open a cache with mentioned settings, images are downloaded to sdcard\Locus\data\geocaching\5\X\GC31XX5\ in case of the first cache. After the tap, the app then sends a request to the system to display image from this directory.
In both these cases, I've found a small issue in the app, that may cause mentioned problems. Unfortunately, I have for sure different web browsers and image viewers so the result on my device won't be the same as on yours. Anyway, we plan a new version really soon, so give it a try and let me know if the result is better. Thank you!
