Importing geocaches from cgeo - failure to clear data first

Sweeney Toddlers shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

when importing caches from cgeo a new problem has developed over the last few weeks. Locus ask if i want to empty the selected folder (I do). Locus then puts up a warning saying it will empty the folder (which i want). However, it doesn’t and only then gives the option of ignoring or overwriting. I’m now having to manually empty the folder before I import data from cgeo.

Good day Sweeney,

are you please using latest 3.2.3 version of Locus?

No, 3.2.2........but the Android store seems to think that the app is up to date.

Interesting. In 3.2.3 is quite long list of fixes ( http://help.locusmap.eu/responses/version-320-1982014 ).

Mainly: fix: problem with import of items from older add-ons (GSAK, GeoGet)

So please try to clear cache of your Google Play app, this should help to offer you an Locus update.

Cleared the cache but still no update. Will try installing and uninstalling?

No unfortunately even when I uninstall locus free the play store tells me that 3.2.2 is the newest version

hmm this is really interesting. I never heard about such problem. You're using original Google Play and original ROM on your device or some alternative?

Anyway I'm sorry to say this, but this cannot be a problem in Locus itself. Because since you install and run certain app, all troubles comes from Android/Google Play/etc...

Anyone other any idea what to do with this?

Ah I've got it probably ... you have downloaded Locus over Samsung Apps Store right? Seems they finally confirmed Locus updates, perfect. If so, then sorry, it's correct. Version 3.2.3 is not yet available over Samsung Apps Store. It will be during this month or in worst case, version 3.3.0 at start of next month.
