Importing .gif maps plus calibration file with overlay
Answered
To which format should I export so that Locus suports overlaying my converted maps with, let`s say, google? I managed to convert them to orux format, but overlay is not suported

thanks in advance
I don`t quite understand.
Your file is a *.gif
and this gif should be a overlay later - on a basic map?

Hi Hugo,
Locus currently do not support some re-rasterization of maps on the fly. So you have to have maps in format same as stored in SQLite, GEMF or MBT format. SQLite format is one used by locus as a general format, also for storing online maps and downloading. So I suggest to convert into this.

That`s how I managed to use them in Locus in the first place, using OruxMapsDesktop with the Sqliteformat checkbox selected. The problem is that it doesn`t support overlaying in Locus. It`s a problem of the format? Will any of the other two formats that you mentioned support overlay?
Thank you

Hi Hugo
First be sure the zoomlevels are in both maps available.
if this not help - please upload an example of your OruxMaps Sqliteformat map and tell us the weblink..

I don`t even have to chose a second one. Having that one as the currently one and going to the overlay screen will say right away under base map "Allow overlay: No".
Link to both the converted maps and the original gif + calibration file:

Thanks for you effort

SQLite format used by orux is not same as use locus itself. orux format contain also calibration file so there is no fixed projection. This format cannot be used as overlay for now
