Integrate Munzee
Munzee is a scavenger hunt via smartphone which is getting more and more popular. You need to find a certain QR-Code and by scanning it, it forwards you including your login information and current location to a website and logs your find as valid when everything seems alright. However, the app is not comfortable at all and runs quite unstable. Besides, Google Maps is used and causes a lot of traffic, so that scanning Munzees when roaming is active becomes a very expensive hobby. Their programmers could reinvent the wheel to handle the open issues but why, when there`s a real good application at least for the map part. So my idea would be to create a plugin for Locus that
1) imports the Muzees to locus
2) includes a stable third party QR-code scanner
3) log the found Munzees within Locus including the current GPS location and
a) send it instanty to Munzee.com when roaming is off
b) save it and send it later (via WLAN or whatever) to Munzee.com when roaming is active. This should be done in a secure way to prevent cheating.
Anyone else seeing a need for this?
Good idea. I hope there will be an AddOn.

Hello Guys,
I have to mark this "idea" as a "not planned". I personally will not have time for this add-on, anyway I think it`s nice idea that should be interesting for some developers, so vote if you like it and hope that someone skilled with Android developing will notice it!

I agree wholeheartedly. I would be prepared to pay for the Addon suggested if some android developer developed it.

I'm glad to announce, that first version of "Munzee in Locus" will be ready very very soon ... currently not a capturing, but only a display of Munzees on a map. Based on interest of users, capturing will be possible later.

So version of Locus 3.9.0 with support for Munzee is out. Enjoy it!
Unfortunatelly, you require new small add-on Munzee from Google Play. This add-on is anyway still in some verification process from Google. I wanted to publish add-on and Locus together, but seems that Google stuff has some delay ... so be prepared, it is close: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asamm.locus.addon.munzee :)

Many thanks for adding Munzee, a few ideas for future updates
1. add last_captured_at , many munzees got abandoned after players left after some unpopular changes were made
2.save for offline use, like a import as such , this is possible at the moment by "share & export data" then importing back in, although this method does not preserve all the data fields.
3. own munzees are not showing up

I am glad that this addon was created. Downloading Munzee "PQs" from the visible area of munzee map in advance on my computer was very tedious and the imported Munzees couldn't be updated in any way in the terrain.
With this it might be finally possible to search for Munzees during Geocaching again. Though as long as the scanner is the official application, I don't think it will be very effectively used for big Munzee harvests.
But for occassional Munzee here and there during a Geocaching trip in an area with almost no Munzees, this should work perfectly :)
After just trying it a little bit I found 2 issues:
1) Own caches do not show at all. I tried all combination of checkboxes and no result.
2) Quiz Munzees show on the map and even in the listing as normal traditional munzees. This makes it very confusing on the map. An example of such Munzee is http://www.munzee.com/m/glogloman/140/
Around the Munzee is a whole garden of Quiz Munzees, so this area is good for testing.
Environment where those issues were found:
Basic membership on Munzee with over 7000 captures and 600 deploys
Device: Garmin Monterra with Android 4.0.4
Locus: 3.9.0
Munzee Addon: version unknown (couldn't with any About or Info screen in the addon UI. Maybe it would be a good idea to put the version number visibly to the addon window?)
