Invalid username / password for geocaching

Solved

I have Locus Pro installed on my Samsung galaxy Note 2 and would like to use it for geocaching, for which I have a registered account on geocaching.com. I have also installed Geocaching4Locus. I am using Google Chrome as my Android browser.

However I am stuck going around in an endless loop of trying to get Locus to accept the API permission from Geocahcing.com. Here is what I am doing:

Openning LocusPro – Functions – Geocaching Live and then I get a Popup Browser asking for my gc.com user name & password – then ‘sign in’, after this goes through I get the ‘Allow access’ screen showing Locus by Locus is asking gc.com for permission. Clicking on ‘Allow access’ I get the message in a separate window ‘unsupported function in pop up browser’.

However, this seem’s to go through okay as I will then get an email gc.com saying ‘Welcome! You`ve successfully authorized Locus by Locus’. These seem’s to indicate that gc.com has given permission for Locus to use the API.

So back to Locus Pro on the phone –> functions -> Geocaching4Locus -> nearest I then get ‘error occurs!’ which reads ‘Invalid username or password. Please check your log-in state in preferences.’

My username and password are not incorrect.

SOLVED

Installed the most recent update from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/aqwcj5x7mye... after which my gc.com log-in details worked

Hello Muppet,

I`m little bit confused. You have problems with login to Geocaching Live in Locus application or with login in external add-on Geocaching4Locus? Because both are separated apps and have it`s own usage.

From your first post, seems you have problems with Geocaching Live directly in Locus. After you confirm login on groundspeak server, you have to wait! till browser is automatically forwarded back to Locus. So do not press back or home button, to switch to Locus manually.
