Hello Armin,

the Bing maps are not supported in Locus because the terms of use. The gynta's post leads to break the conditions of Bing maps.

Thank you Gynta, thank you Petr!

Are there other sources to install satellite pictures on my smartphone for use with Locus Pro? Thank you for further information!

At least there is a figure on the homepage showing a satellite image on a smartphone. So it must also be possible to integrate satellite images as a map in LocusPro.

The satellite image that is shown on the homepage is Menu > Maps > Online > Mapquest. Please check it. It has good coverage in USA and west Europe.

Which country are you interested in? Maybe is there any suitable WMS service.

Thanks a lot for all your support! Unfortunately mapQuest shows not a usable resolution. When I zoom in, there is shown always a grey background with shaded relief but no orthophoto or satellite image.

I see. There some suggestions:

Austria - please try Maps - Online - Plus button - Get more from Locus store -Europe - Austria - basemap.at -Sat. - ADD. This add new online map into list of Maps - Online.

Germamy - Maps - WMS - PLUS button - Recommended - Open web page and scroll to Germany. Look for ortophoto services for particular states. Tap add to locus.

Scotland - sorry I can offer only MapQuest ...

Thanks

Hello Petr,

thanks for the suggestions. I will see. Digital orthophotos from Bavaria I use at work. With a resolution of 40cm, very nice! For android Locus Pro there is only a resolution of 2m. But it's okay. Unfortunately it is a wms-service, which is not the same as offline using. I would prefer a absolute non-online version of orthophotos or satellite-images. I think we must wait for the future.
