Is Locus render map all the time?
Answered
Is this scenario possible then Locus in background or screen is off:
GPS is on permanently
Track is recording
Map and track rendering are off
What I mean is a Garmin handhelds for instance do not render maps when screen is off. When you switch scree on, map just jumps to current location.
Map rendering is the most power consuming process in Locus. Am I right?
Thanks!
Hello Vitold,
yes agree, rendering of Vector maps is one of most power consuming tasks in Locus.
Suggest simple test - some app that may measure CPU. Start Locus, start track record and enable centering. So during your walk, map will move. Check CPU consuming while Locus is in foreground and then put Locus into background and check it again. Locus should not render maps while in background.
