Is possible to choose language for vector maps?
Answered
In general in OSM maps, names are available in many languages.
As I understand, vector maps generated for mapsforge often use the local names as default. This is not always what I can read :-)
For example I prefer the english names for greek towns (instead the names with greek letters).
My questions:
1. Is it possible to choose the language for the names inside of Locus? (eg. 'en' instead of default)
2. if not, can this be triggered by using a custom vector theme? Or is any other solution?
I had a look into the mapsforge theme docs and it seems, it is not possible. But I can't believe that. It just makes no sense to me :-)
Any hint is welcome
René
The new beta can deal with multi-language MAP files, mapsforge 0.5+ format, V4 themes. I'd call it under construction, but good news first of all ...

Hello René,
as Michael wrote it'll be possible to change language in next version. But not with LoMaps (vector maps downloaded from Locus Store). You need to use maps downloaded from Mapsforge or OAM. However we're planning to prepare multilingual solution also for LoMaps during this year.
BTW: in Locus store is map called Greece (English) that contains English names for cities, places, etc..
