Is there a way to import map layers from Arcmap?

I work for a state forestry agency, and use Locus daily. There are numerous map layers I use in Arcmap that I usually just print to paper, and compare to them to topo and aerial Locus maps in the field. It would be incredibly useful to be able to export these layers from arcmap in some way, and then import them into Locus. Doing this in some timely fashion would be important. I know others in my office use PDF Maps for this purpose, but that app really doesn't come close to the functionality of Locus. I've also tried exporting maps to Arcpad on a Trimble mobile device (Windows Mobile), but these devices, and this application, pretty much also suck. Is there a way? I know there has to at least be an intense desire from other professionals to perform this function. Any ideas?

Good day Doug,

as I know, there is a way over KML files, so search for some "export to KML" feature of your software. Otherwise we have a short (not sure if still working) manual here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:advanced:map_tools:conversion#how_to_convert_shp_file_for_locus

Also depend on what you want to use in Locus. Alternative way is over Locus GIS application that is still (and probably for some time remain) in Beta test. Access is over Google+ account https://plus.google.com/communities/102467663728153787419

Maybe someone will have any other suggestion, but I currently have no other option. If you will have any more questions, feel free to ask.
