Is there any chance to restore recorded track after deleting app?

I started to use locus map free and record some tracks. Then I buy locus map Pro and tracks automatically move to this app. So because I don't need it, I uninstalled free version. And after that I lost all my recorded tracks. Is there any chance to restore it? I don't made any backup of my track's unfortunately.

I think there should be some kind of message while upgrading to Pro, that when you delete free app you lost your data.

Good day Michal,

by default, all app data (maps, track, ...) are stored in the internal memory of your device in directory "Locus". Locus Map Free and Locus Map Pro share this directory, that's why after install of Locus Map Pro, you were able to see your data immediately in the app. Anyway, after you uninstall any of these apps, your data are not deleted, never! They stay in this directory till you delete it manually (there is a possibility to have data in private directory which is deleted upon uninstall, but then every application has own data which is not your case).

So isn't there a chance you deleted or manipulated with directory "Locus" in your device manually?

The application also tries to do automatic backups every 2 days. So you may try to restore data over Locus menu > more > Backup manager. Anyway do this really only in case, you are sure there is nothing to lose now.

Hope we figure it out.

Thanks, for your reply. I'm sure that I don't manipulate manually with any data. I save in g drive my last tracks after losing others, so I tried restore from backup, but in my backup folder in Locus data there aren't any files. Is there any possibility that this tracks is save in any other places. This data is important for me only for some statistic data, but I would like to restore it anyway.

I'm really trying to figure out how this may happen, but no idea, sorry. Fact that backup directory is empty may mean that whole "Locus" folder was really deleted. But the app itself can't do this!

I remember that I saw on some device (a long time ago), that after uninstalling the application, device prompted dialog with something like "Locus Map was un-installed, delete it's data also?" Somehow device detected that "Locus" directory belong to Locus Map app and offer to delete it as well. Maybe this was your case?

You may try to find "Locus" directory if is not placed somewhere like on SD card or in any root directory, but I'm really worried it won't be. Sorry Michal, this problem lies little out of my powers.

Ok, once again thank for answere. I try to find this folder somewhere, but I think I need to start collect new data. Now I will save my track's in my gdrive to have access to them in any device. Now I now that I should do it in the beginning. Thank you for your time and help

Hello Michal,

suggest setting in automatic backup, backup to your GDrive as well. These backups are even better than backup of every single track. Anyway as I wrote, the app itself does not definitely delete any data like happen to you, so be careful as it may be some specification of your device and similar issue may happen for other apps as well. Good luck.
