KMZ Line and Polygon Display in Locus

Jason Menard shared this problem 11 years ago
Solved

So I am trying to upload a kmz file into Locus of a bunch of polylines developed from a shapefile in ArcMap. Locus imports the kmz just fine--- but it won`t display the lines. It does this for polygons too. Points on the other hand, display just fine and use the exact same symbology I had them using in ArcMap. I can even mouseover the features and get attribute data. But I get nothing with lines and polys. Is this something Locus just won`t do, or am I missing something? Help! Thanks... Locus is amazing, but I really want it to do this one thing!

Jason,

there is still many things to improve but this one should work. Please send me some sample kmz file on locus@asamm.com email and I`ll check it (fix it) in second half of october

Hello Jason,

finally (seems that after 22 days), I found time to check your email and all files you send. In almost every file was some small issue. Ah not in file, but in way locus handled these files. Main problem was that data was correctly loaded but not styles. Icon was too small, tracks was invisible and few more ...

all is now fixed and you can check it in next version. Just one warning. Small dot icons are 8x8px big. You`ve set scale to 0.25 so they`re 2x2px on phone screen. On my phone with 1280x800px screen, they`re almost invisible, so I suggest to include bigger icon or reduce scale. Just for your info

new version will be out probably tomorrow, so you may check it and let me know
