Lags during geocachie description page scrolling

Solved

Hello,

Recently I've upgraded my phone to Samsung S5 Neo (previous one was SGS2).

Locus now works significantly faster, that is obvious. Problem is when I go to geocache description. During scrolling this page there is noticeable lags. I can say more, this scrolling is smoother on my old SGS2 phone. Of course this is not a fault issue, but I think it can be optimized.

My configuration: Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo with Android 6.0.1, Locus Map Pro 3.18.9.

Good day Robin,

is this major slowdown happen with all basic cache listings? I'm asking if you have any special really really slow listing that I may use for testing. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do something with it, but with such slowdown on own device as well, I may at least try it. Thank you!

All caches, one tab with cache listing. Other tabs scroll smoothly. There is not special cache example with significant slowdown.

But I can send example gpx file.

Interesting, I'm just testing it on my wife's Galaxy S5 and absolutely no problem.

Aren't you using "Automatic GC offlinizer" that may be enabled in config.cfg? Also is this happen for this first! open of cache listing only, or for every open (so when you open cache for second time, third time)? And last question - what about when you disable internet connection, any difference?

Maybe if you may share with me GPX with a single cache that cause these troubles, I'm may test it better (just pack it here as "zip" file). Thanks

I'm not using Automatic GC offlinizer. Every time when I open a listing tab there is no difference. Lags are visible especialy when there is a lot of pictures inside. Status of internet connection doesn't matter.

In the attachement you can find example of gpx file.

Good day Robin,

I'm sorry. I've tried to, to be sure, on two own device as well on wife's SGS5 (Android 6.0.1, so it should be quite similar to your device) and all is perfectly fluent.

Locus Map in listing tab, use component called "WebView" that is updated by system completely independently.

I've anyway found one parameter that should help in this case. New version of Locus Map is planned on start of next week, so try it and let me know if it helped.

Hello,

Thank you for trying resolve this issue. It seems to be not a common problem. I'm aware that in listing tab there is a WebWiew component responsible for html (?) rendering. It is double weird that in the other applications using this component there is no lags. Moreover I've updated it to newest version.

I'm looking forward to new version of Locus and let you know if it helps.

I've just installed new version of Locus. You can close this topic now. Scrolling is perfectly fluent.

Thank you.
