Less space using top and bottom bar

Hi Menion,

space for map display is most important. IMO, especially the bottom bar could be vertically condensed, but also the top bar can preserve some space. Also the right bar.

I am thinking of Moon+ ebook reader. It also operates in fullscreen, and there the lower status bar can have commands accessed. Its just like 40px which are already enough to be tapped reliably...

Maybe an option "Condensed toolbars"...

Good day Tapio,

and what about options to hide these toolbars by double tap, it is not a suitable solution for your use-case?

Temporary workaround for you should be using "config.cfg" and it's option dev_gui_main_rescale_value . If you set a value like 0.8, it should help you.

Of course I permanently use double tap. It's just, e. g. in the outdoors I prefer to always display bottom bar... Will look at that Ui resize...

It's not usable well, no icons, or icons tiny but still lots of wasted space around them... but hey.

Can you see it? There's quite some space around all icons. With icons at the same size, but empty space removed in a still good looking way, we could also have even more functions visible at the right bar (I know we can drag it).

I never tried this option for reducing its size. This option was created for opposite use-case: to increase the size of UI. Icons have some internal sizes and it is possible, that it does not work correctly. I just hoped it could ...

Anyway sorry, an option to reduce the size of these panels is currently not planned. I slowly work on a new design for a main map screen for Locus Map 4, but I'm worried there won't option you want as well.

Thanks for understanding .. idea declined.
