Lo maps question

Answered

I purchased and downloaded LoMaps of Germany (north) and Germany (south). Do these maps cover Germany completely and at the same detail as individual LoMaps od German regions sych as Bavaria, Berlin, Brandenburg, etc. Is there any reason why I may want the individual regional LoMaps in addition to north and south? Thanks.

Hi,

there is no difference between "country" map and regional maps. The goal is to offer smaller maps due to file size of country maps.

Thanks, Petr

Hi Petr. Another question: will these LoMaps I purchased ever expire, or can I use them for many years?

Also, how do I back them up in case I buy another phone and need to move them to the new phone?

Thanks,

Allen

Hi,

purchased maps will never expire. You can use downloaded map as long as you want BUT the updates are charged.

When you buy new phone, you can download map again from Locus Store but only in the old version you purchased in these days. You can also move map files manually from the old device. How to move Locus and data on the new device is described http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:move_to_new_phone

Thanks, Petr

One more question: my downloaded maps should be stored on my SD card according to Locus, but I think they actually went to my phone storage and completely filled it up, please see attached images. What can I do?

Thanks,

Allen

Locus root folder is by default located in the internal memory. The path "/sdcard" is located very likely internal memory. The SDcard starts like "ext-sdcard"

However back to your issue - please see article http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_maps_sdcard#vector_maps where is described how to put vector maps (LOMaps ) on the external sdcard

Thanks

One more image attached, I think offline maps should be going to the SD card, but they all went to my phone.
