Loading tracks from zip file fails if app loses focus / display rotates / device sleeps

dean gaudet shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

while loading a .zip file with 150 tracks (on nexus 7 w/android 6) locus pro will have issues part way through the load if any of the following occurs:

  • the tablet display turns off
  • the tablet display rotates
  • i switch away to another app

the problem is generally that it will start failing every track after the event occurs.

a reload of the same .zip file while i keep the display from rotating and the device from sleeping will go fine. i've tried other zip files of other tracks with similar results so i don't think it's the particular zip file or tracks i used.

i've observed similar problems in other activities before: such as rotations while trying to export a track (the track name will be replaced with just "Track" rather than the actual name of the track). in general the UI seems somewhat sensitive to these events while some modal activity is going on.

thanks

Good day Dean,

thank you for your report and sorry for a troubles. I'm well aware of these problems on many places inside application. System how Android work with rotation is quite complicated and not always so easy to do it correctly. Anyway I'll try to fix at least mentioned problems, thanks.
