Locus can read Mi band 3 pedometer sensor data or heart rate?

Hi Michal,

I have been using Xiaomi Mi Band 3 since 4 January, 2019. However, I am not able to record heart rate data after stopping the track. Please help me if there is any one who can guide me in recording the heart rate along with the track statistics.

Hi,

1) go to MiBand app and switch the band status to "visible"

2) start heart rate monitoring in MiBand settings

3) turn on bluetooth in your mobile, go to Locus menu > more functions > bluetooth manager > heart rate > MiBand 3 should be easily paired and delivering HR values (mine does so)

I registered the same pronlema with Xiaomi Redmi 6 (android 8.1) and Mi Band 3 (last firmware). I had succes only twice time to conenect Mi Band 3 and see heartrate. After start record track, the Mi Band was lost connection. I use android app Notify & Fitness for Mi Band from OneZeroBit, but it is not work with officil app Mi Fit too. I checked and permit all access for app and Mi Band too. I dont know where is problem. Thanks for help.

Hi,

this looks like it is caused by the batter optimization which is very agressive in Xiaomi mobiles. Have a look at https://dontkillmyapp.com/xiaomi, there are a few tips how to prevent apps from being killed by MIUI. I found where is problem with app Notify Mi Band. I send you screnshot. Yo must enter detail settings. And ofcoure your recomendation about service settings of app.
