Locus doesn't "load" since the beginning of july.

Hello Menion !


I open a new topic for this issue. I'm with the Pro version.

Since july, Locus doesn't work (at all). But there is no crash. The app

starts, but nothing is loading (maps, tracks, point...). And where a map is supposed to appear, it stays grey.

I can go to the map section, I still see the maps (online or vectors),

but when I choose one... it says in french "Processus infructueux" what

means "unsuccessfull process".


I tried to restaure an old backup file (only parameters). After the restaure, Locus needs to be restarted.

With the 30/6 backup, it works. But as soon as I restart Locus again, it doesn't work anymore.

With the 3/7, it doesn't work at all.


I'm uploading my 3/7 backup. It takes time as the file is more than 80Mo...

I just reintalled the 3.17 version. It's OK.

The problem seems to come from the last 3.18 version.

at first, sorry for a complications!


Backups downloaded and tested and this is what I was worried, it works fine for me.


There are currently two more options how to continue. Firstly you may try simulate problem and right after some error/crash, you may try to create a log by this method: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log . Usually there may be some useful information. I'm just worried it won't be enough in this case, when app do not crash, but just display some error.


Then we should try second option. I'll create a special version that will print out to special log a lot more information.


So if is possible for you to create a log as I wrote in first step, it will be very welcome. Thank you!

I'm waiting for the bug report. But as you said, there's no crash... I don't even know if a bug report will eventually be created !

damn, I hoped that log should help here. Did you tried not to update 3.17.x version to new 3.18.x, but firstly un-install 3.17 before installing new version?


If you have a while, may you please try this special test version https://docs.google.com/a/asamm.com/uc?id=0B_Nr4CT8osmtVU5td01KQlB6aFE&export=download , that will print out some errors into log. So if same problem happen with this version, just close Locus and in Locus/logs directory should be a file with logs. Thank you.

Done.

1. I removed Locus.

2. I installed the 3.17.2 version : it's OK.

3. I removed the 3.17.2 version.

4. I went on google play to get the latest version (3.18.2).

5. I restaured the parameters from my last backup file : KO

Hello,

one more user appeared with very similar problem and thanks to logs and few test versions, we were able to fix this issue. May you please try this Beta version with restored backup to check, if issue is solved for you as well?
