Locus doesn't record track continuously

Program records only the first part of the tracks and not continuously at all. many times that's suspending the logging and sometimes joining just few points during the hiking.

Good day Janos,

based on your screenshots, it looks for me like a problem with enabled "Internal auto GPS off" function. Please read more about it here and check if this function is disabled for you. Let me know if this was the problem.

Otherwise suggest to check recording parameters in recording profile. Maybe you have too high numbers for "time interval" or "distance interval" parameter. More about this here.

Dear Mendon.

I checked the settings you suggested, internal GPS off function were unthicked.

Also recording options are the defaults.

Do you have any other idea?

Thanks

Good day Janos,

in this case, I can imagine it should be only one last thing. Since latest Android versions, Google and also device manufacturers started some weird race, who brings better battery saving methods.

Result of this is this page: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6 , where you may read, where should be useful to give Locus Map exception to make it work correctly on background. I believe, recording will be correct if you keep in foreground and with display turned on. So please check mentioned web page and give Locus Map necessary exceptions based on your device. Hope this helps.

Hi Menion

Unfortunately my Stamina (battery safer) option is fully disabled.

If you can figure out something else, let me know

Thanks

Hello,

hmm seems that manual is not complete. Stamina is not biggest problem. Seems you have Sony device with Android 6.x right? Please check (not sure where exactly this settings is in your device, so I give you universal path) ... system settings > Battery > Top toolbar menu - Battery optimizations ... here should be selector where is preselected value "Not optimalized". Here choose "All applications", search for Locus and choose by tap "Don't optimize". Quite hidden and very important settings!
