Hello,

this morning I installed locus map free on my android Smartphone (Type: doro liberty mini 820).

Each time when I try to start the app I get the following error:

"Java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found"

What is my fault or where is there Problem?

Good day Volker,

this is indeed very interesting problem. Visible error message say, that Locus Map is not able to communicate with our server. Anyway because our server is hosted on Google servers, this never was problem before.

I have to ask, is on this device installed Google Play application?

I'm also little bit worried if Locus Map is best application for this device. Locus Map is not limited for any device, but in this case, I'm worried that Locus will be tooo slow for user-friendly usage.

Hi to all,

is Google Play (see your mail appended below" the same app as the Play Store that I used on my smartphone to download and install e.g. locus map free?

Downloads of other apps done with the Play Store work without any problems.

My applist shows the following apps:

- Google

- Play Store

- Play Musik

- Play Filme & Serien

- Play Bücher

- Play Kiosk

- Play Spiele

- Play Console

Additional information:

If I try to open a gpx file and select Locus Map I get an additional error "Wichtige Bibliotheken fehlen - Locus kann nicht gestartet werden - Manueller Neustart erforderlich" (German Version of Locus).

But I think this might be a secondary effect caused be the java exception described before.

Good day Volker,

thank you for additional information. Unfortunately This looks more like some problem with missing certificate in your device. Aren't you using some Antivir or Firewall application that may block connection of Locus to our server?

Good day Volker,

I have no information from your for last six months, so I expect that problem is solved or you just found better working alternative to Locus Map. If there is anything I may do for you, just let me know. Anyway I still think that problem with this certificate is something out of Locus and in this case, I still have no idea how to solve it. Sorry and thank you for understanding.
