Locus Pro crashes on S3/CM11
Solved
I have tried to move my data from the internal memory to the SD card, but this didn't work. Locus kept prompting me that its folder is corrupted/not accessible/broken/whatever. I deleted all the data on both the internal and the external card, to no avail. I have now uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and the problem seemed to be solved by that. However, if I want to start the shop, Locus crashes every single time.
What could cause this? What can I do to fix this?
I have bought a number of maps about a year ago. IIRC, they can be re-downloaded within a year of purchase. I am afraid I am going to lose those if I cannot get Locus to work soon.
Good day,
please try to update to latest 3.11.2 version, just available on Google Play. Maybe a re-install if app won't still work.
If there will still be problem you write about, you may try to create a log: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log . But usually such IO problems are caused by any damage on card itself. Common solution is then full format of card and test on invalid sectors.

Hi Menion,
The new version indeed fixed the problem of Locus always crashing as soon as I tried to enter the store. I can now access the store and download maps. Unfortunately, the maps I bought in July and August last year are already lost to me. :(
And I still cannot put maps on the external card, so I cannot download any of my big maps. If I cannot find a way to make Locus use the external card, I am going to lose even more of the maps I bought.
(To be totally frank: Data loss is always bad, but if your application loses me data which I had to buy in your store, earning you money, and which I cannot re-downlad, then that makes you look very badly.)

Good day Frank, I'll be short.
1. I'm glad, that problem with Store is solved, sorry for a troubles.
2. problem with SD card - no one except you reported such issue, so I'm more then sure, that it is some problem with your device, not Locus itself.
3. even if point 2. is not true, why do not download maps to internal memory where Locus probably works correctly?
4. if point 3 is not possible because of lack of free space, do you think it is correct that "that makes you look very badly" - because your device do not have space in internal memory?
5. more about options, how to use SD card on Android 4.4 and 5.+ is here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:use_sdcard_on_kitkat
Hope point 5 helps you. If not, I still miss a log from my previous post, that may tell me more. Anyway also as I wrote - I think that on 90% it will be I/O error, which means some damage on card itself.

Hello Frank,
two months and no response from you. Should I help here anyway? Were you able to solve troubles with SD card? Also if such troubles caused you to pay for a LoMaps maps again, I'm sure we may find some compromise and allow you to download them again. Let me know.
