Dropbox problem 'v1_retired' since 09/2017

Hi,

Great app, using it for years now.

Question, I suddenly have problems with the Dropbox function.

It shows Whoopi, a problem!

And also v1_retired

I cannot find a solution in your help info. 

Please help.

seems I've completely missed this notification on deprecation of Dropbox system, that Locus Map use.

Hi, why do i get this question of another user? 

By the way, I do like to learn about your solution, for me and many others  (now that the dropbox conection is broken) the repair will be vcrucial.

I was heavenly relying on the dropbox connection to sync overmultiple devices....

Good day guys,

new API from Dropbox finally implemented and all seems to work as before ( as expected ). We planned new version in more then two weeks ago, but mainly because of this problem, I'll try to speed it up as much as possible.

Aloha, I have continued to try to export kmz files from Locus Pro to Dropbox and I am still getting the v1_retired error. I even tried exporting the gpx to Dropbox as recommended below but still getting error. Do I just need to reinstall Locus Pro and start over or is there another way to trouble shoot? Thank you.

Which version are you running ?

Are you sure to have updated to the latest 3.26.2 ?

Thank you! It does look like I have Locus Pro version 3.10.3. This may be a silly question but can I just update to the newest version or do I have to uninstall and then reinstall version 3.26.2? I would like to not lose my data if possible (even though I have saved the files I need).

Hello Jill,

version you are using is currently more then two years old! Update should cause no troubles, but to be sure, you may do full backup in Locus > menu > more > backup manager and then backup on PC whole "Locus" directory from your device.

In case of any troubles with this, feel free to create a new topic here on help desk, I'll gladly help.

Temporary fix:

for export function: share gpx with Dropbox

for import tap on gpx file within Dropbox app an choose locus app
