Locus crashed a sqlitedb (twice)

gynta shared this problem 11 years ago
Solved

I have a sqlitedb online cached map (550MB), wiith some misses tiles areas. (to use as offlinemap) So i zoomed to this area and move the map onine to cache this tiles.

After a while (10minutes) Locus slow down while moving and after a view in mapmanager, the online cache is "0.0MB" ;(

i have a backup and I can reproduce this issue.

I changed the externalSD - no effect

Using online downloadfunction -> "Problem with downloading tiles.

Check internet connection and space on SDCard and try again!"

(I have already pointed out you about this error in the past)

I can use this (backup)map offline and have no problems (except the missing areas)

ok If the sqlitedb is corrupt - why locus (or the system) delete this file?

Is here a simple log ok for you or need you a catlog?

I can put the map in the DB if you need.

Is there a way to verify the sqlitedb ?

In the past i read some problems about sqlite here - so I`m ask here...

btw

The map is not so important - but the error (and error report) is annoying!

Hello Gynta,

handling with problematic databases is always a problem.

Firstly, you should check your database in quite good program "Sqlite Expert personal" - it`s a very very good Free application for basic work with SQLite databases http://www.sqliteexpert.com/download....

Anyway how you may corrupt database? http://www.sqlite.org/howtocorrupt.html ... there is so much ways. Some of them may be caused by Locus, some by android, some are unexpected

About deleting files ... Locus never delete any data/databases/anything without firstly ask user. In this case, it have to be internal SQLite mechanism, that delete content of corrupted database. You may try to create a log to see what problem (exactly) with database android has.

As i wrote, maybe the system.

I got the same problem,

"Using online downloadfunction -> "Problem with downloading tiles.

Check internet connection and space on SDCard and try again!"

And checking the maps folder with a file explorer the map file has been deleted.

Any solution to this problem yet?

Hello,

unfortunately I do not know about any error in downloading map files. If some problem happen to you during any activity in Locus, you may try to create an error log that may helps to identify this problem.

How to do it: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log
