Locus Crashes

Solved

In my versions off Locus(Pro and Free) in certain situations crashes happen.

1.: When trying to make the application calculate a navigation off more than 1000km.

2.: When viewing large vector maps(Spain) under low zoom level, when the scale indicates 100km.

Do these phenomena occur to college users.

Greetings,

Bert Crommar.

Hello Bert,

answer on these problems is simply!

ad 1. do not calculate routes longer then 1000km

ad 2. do not display huge vector maps in low zoom levels. I also think that this problem is discuss here https://getsatisfaction.com/locus/top...

both problems suffer from very low amount of memory in your device, that is available for application. Currently there is main problem that I (Locus) do not know if requested operation will have enough memory or no.

I`ll add into next version some kind of protection against computing too long route on low powered devices.

So sorry, but here is not much I can do.

Hello Menion,

That`s the way to work, if you want to sale easy you must avoid cost what cost your application from crashing.

To do this avoid rendering maps with zoom level less than mentionned above.

Jump from general view(contour) to indication on the scale off under 100km.

What causes crash on navigation over 1000km, I don`t know. Data come from on-line service, stock them somewhere in a temp-file to be processed at ease afterwards.

This could solve the problem.

Greetings,

Bert Crommar..

PS.:Memory on SD-card is not that small.
