Locus crashes on an update of a geocache
Solved
I was able to import the geocache (GC47Q5X) a week ago, and have also found it :-)
But when I now try to update/import this cache again, Locus crashes. I have send 3 rapports inside Android, but don`t know if you see all the details.
Is this a problem of Locus or Geocaching4Locus?
Locus Pro 2.11.1
Geocaching4Locus 1.4.2.5
SGS2 4.1.2
Problem seems solved by upgrading Geocaching4Locus.

Hi,
this really helped? I`m quite surprised because in case Locus crash, I expect it is a problem of Locus.
Ok, feel free to continue in this topic if same problem happen again. Also I have to say that I don`t use a lot reports you send on Google Play. Their system seems to be not much useful. I prefer aLogCat or CatLog programs in case you have rooted device

Hi, your surprise was correct. Locus still crashes on importing of geocaches.
I thought it was solved with the update, but I was only allowed to import the basic info of the cache. When I import the whole cache, the screen turns black...

Hi,
I know that I`m asking a lot of new features ;-). But could I humbly ask to give this thread some priority? It`s always a big annoyance when Locus crashes, but I`m now constantly gambling which geocaches I can update or import. It`s sometimes a struggle to import even a few caches. Thanks

ok, so let`s solve it finally ...
I need a logcat with some debug information that you obtain right after a crash.

I`ll try this evening to generate you a logfile.
But could you update the mentioned geocache (GC47Q5X)?
My wife has the same problem with it so maybe you could reproduce it yourself?
Anyway, I`ll keep you informed

1. create new empty category
2. started import by Geocaching4Locus with code GC47Q5X
3. after import, checked cache - no problem
4. on map tapped on cache and under tools button pressed "Update cache"
5. after update dialog of cache again appear, no problem ...
tested with this new version http://forum.locusmap.eu/viewtopic.ph... (but should work in same way with previous)
so I`m worried, logcat will really be needed ...

Hi Menion,
I don`t know if you were able to reproduce this, but I can now reproduce it. Try importing http://coord.info/GC434QR. It`s an event cache. And it`s crashing Locus every time I touch it.

Hello Roeland,
sorry but even this cache cause me no problems. Tested on two devices and both works fine ...
Anyway check your problem with this test version. First reported problem should be fixed, so maybe it was same problem here. If no, LogCat is what I need, thanks

Hi Menion,
This problem seams solved! Thank you very much.
I like to mention that are still some problems with this test version:
When I imported 200 caches:
- they were all invisible
- I saw some caches who were not invisible and not deactivated. But when I update them, the icon in the geocache screen has a red cross, but I don`t see this on the map, there the cache is normal.
- Updating a cache moves the cursor to my current location on the map. Very annoying.
But, I like this new version! Zooming in and out is fantastic. The speed of the app has improved considerably. I`m waiting impatiently for the new release
