Locus Map Pro periodically hang the whole android system

Dmitry Nikolaev shared this problem 10 years ago
Solved

After loading the Locus (as service) and make several moves of map the whole system hangs. Only hard reboot can help.

I tried to erase all *.sqlitedb files in Locus/mapsOnline folder, but it did not help.

Please, would you tell me how I can debug this situation? May be turn on some config parameter in cfg-file for harvesting trace logs?

Device: Samsung Galaxy S2

Using Map: OSM Classic

Its not only SGS2. I have Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 and I have similar problem. I have found out that once I switch off "Adress search" it helps. Anyway, I rather downgraded to 2.13.1 since the problem seems to happen only with 2.14

on Note 2 also? I`m developing Locus on Note 2, so there should be no problem ...

Hmm, may someone please create for me a log with CatLog program? If you have ROOT, it may be used also on 4.1+ version of Android. There is possibility to set periodical storing of logs on card, so with one second interval, it should work even if whole system crash. Thanks (email on locus@asamm.com)

My ROM was cyanogenmod 10.1 with Android 4.2.

Using Locus with CatLog on the background caused the system to freeze. After hard reset device could not boot normally (half of applications was uninstalled).

Now I have updated ROM to cyanogenmod 10.2 with Android 4.3 and trying to use Locus.

@Menion I have sent the email with catlog to you, but interval of logs was 10 seconds.

Hello Dmitry,

I`m really sorry for a late response. I checked your logs a month ago when I received your email and forget to response.

In logs is some weird error in Android system and I`m really worried that I`ll not be able to simply solve it. You wrote that you`re re-installing your device to new version of ROM. Was this helpful?
